Joy Under the Falling Leaves
This orchestral work is composed using a relatively traditional orchestration, portraying a scene beneath withered branches and falling leaves, where the landscape reveals a quiet and subtle beauty. The appreciation of withered branches reflects an Eastern philosophical perspective, in which joy and sorrow are embraced simultaneously, leading the listener toward an inner state of contemplation and prayer. At the climax of the piece, a sorrowful, prayer-like passage emerges in the French horn, which ultimately resolves into a celebratory joy—an expression of profound and sincere love for life.
