A Dialogue with Time consists of three interwoven layers of sound, representing the past, the present, and the future.
The pre-recorded music represents the past—something that has already happened and can no longer be changed, only remembered and heard again. The saxophone solo represents the present, unfolding in real time through the performer's immediate responses and decisions. The third element, an improvisation performed on any instrument, represents the future—something that has not yet been determined, but is gradually created in the moment of performance.
These three dimensions of time are not independent of one another. They listen to, respond to, and overlap with each other throughout the work. The past leaves traces that shape the present, while the choices made in the present continually open possibilities for the future.
The work thus becomes a dialogue between different dimensions of time—a temporal dialogue unfolding through sound.
時間的對話
《時間的對話》由三個彼此交織的聲音層次構成，分別象徵過去、現在與未來。
預先錄製的音樂代表過去——已經發生、無法改變，只能被回望與聆聽的聲音。Saxophone 獨奏代表現在，由演奏者在當下即時地回應與發展。第三部分則由任一樂器進行即興演奏，象徵未來：它尚未被決定，而是在演奏的當下逐步生成。
三種時間並非彼此獨立，而是在作品中相互聆聽、回應與交疊。過去留下的聲音影響著現在，而現在的選擇又不斷開啟未知的未來。作品因此成為一場不同時間之間的對話——一場發生於聲音之中的時間性對話。
