Between Ink and Air
An abstract painting in sound, for string quartet. Entre l'encre et l'air.
Between Ink and Air invites the listener to experience sound as one would move through an abstract painting.
Rather than presenting a fixed perspective, the work unfolds through shifting points of attention, resembling the dispersed viewpoints found in East Asian painting. Listening becomes a form of quiet movement—an act of observation that changes with proximity, distance, and stillness.
The music asks the listener to withdraw from a central position and enter a state of silence. From within this silence, sonic events are not followed as narrative gestures but perceived as visual traces in space. Sound is encountered as if seen rather than heard: appearing, receding, and dissolving between ink and air.
在墨與空氣之間
《在墨與空氣之間》邀請聆聽者以移動的方式進入聲音，如同在一幅抽象畫中行走與觀看。樂曲並未提供單一、固定的視角，而是透過不斷變化的注意焦點展開，類似東亞繪畫中所採用的散點透視。聆聽成為一種靜默中的移動，一種隨距離、位置與靜止狀態而改變的觀看行為。
作品邀請聆聽者從中心位置中退隱，消失於寧靜之中。正是在這樣的寧靜視角裡，聲音事件不再作為敘事動機被追隨，而是如同視覺痕跡般被感知，在空間中浮現、遠離、消散，於墨與空氣之間顯現其存在。
